The required five breaths may not even be enough just for a single pose. Also, the poses in power yoga are associated specifically on the backbone of the so-called “Sun Salutation” positions. These poses are said to be for the advanced yogis, and performing these without proper knowledge of the yoga basics can be a bit risky for the performer.

Well, before the techniques are performed by the power yogis, warm ups are typically considered. This is also true among the other practices. However, in power yoga the warm ups are done to allow the yogis to relax. It is also considered to stretch the muscles of your body, allowing you to move with flexibility. It is further interesting to know that the warm ups as well as the actual techniques or poses involved in power yoga are done in a heated room simply to allow the body to obtain an ultimate level of flexibility. It is for this reason basically that the practice is now considered by many as only appropriate for the physically fit.
